Vladivostok sits on Russia’s Pacific edge, so the language of distance stops being an abstraction. Далеко, восток, порт, море and часовой пояс belong to the place. Even the name contains an old command-like idea—rule the east—though modern visitors mostly need to rule the bus map and the steep walk back uphill.
Корабль, порт, бухта, мост and остров give you a compact coastal set. Ask Отсюда видно мост? or Как пройти к набережной? and prepare for через, рядом and наверху. Place guides become useful when nouns join actions: ships arrive, bridges cross, fog appears, buses climb. A labelled photograph is less memorable than three sentences describing what changes.
Который час? asks the time; Какая разница во времени? asks the time difference. Learn по местному времени, local time, and phrases for a journey’s duration. Moscow-centric timetables and calls make the contrast real. Russian geography is enormous, but your sentence can remain small: Во Владивостоке уже вечер.

Владивосток combines roots associated with rule/possess and east. In grammar you travel во Владивосток, stay во Владивостоке and return из Владивостока. The extra о in во makes the consonant cluster easier to pronounce.
Тихий океан is the Pacific Ocean, порт is port, бухта bay, мост bridge and остров island. Восток means east and Дальний Восток the Far East. These compounds make geography readable before your general vocabulary is large.
Далеко means far and далеко от Москвы means far from Moscow, with genitive after от. Сколько часов? can ask how many hours, while часовой пояс means time zone. Long-distance geography creates natural practice for numbers and comparisons.
Put Мы летим во Владивосток. into a route, timetable or scene you might genuinely meet. Add a time, a direction and one question. Use Город у моря. as part of the reply. Check every changing travel detail separately; the language exercise should not become accidental practical advice. Then describe the same scene from a new starting point so at least one preposition or ending has to change. A map, ticket or menu can turn Vladivostok language guide into concrete language without requiring a long imaginary dialogue. Read the scene once as the traveller and once as the person replying. On the second reading, replace a proper name with another destination and update every dependent form. If nothing changes, choose a replacement that forces a case or agreement change. Finish with a short factual check in English so useful language and current visitor information do not become confused.
