Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Gora learning app, website and related services ("Gora" or "the Service"), provided by Flare Digital DOO, registered in Montenegro (reg. 51141231), registered office Filipa Kovačevića BB, Budva, 85310 ("we", "us", "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be old enough to form a binding contract and to consent to data processing in your country. If you're under that age, you may only use Gora with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

2. Your account

You can use Gora as a guest or create an account using passwordless email sign-in. You're responsible for the email account you use to sign in and for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at hello@gora.academy if you think someone else has accessed your account.

3. The Service, and its current status

Gora is an educational tool for learning languages. It's offered on an evolving basis — features may change, and during this early-access period parts of the Service are provided free while we develop it. We may add, modify, suspend or discontinue features over time. We don't promise the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

4. Acceptable use

Please use Gora fairly. You agree not to:

• break the law or infringe others' rights while using the Service;
• copy, scrape, resell or redistribute our content except as the Service allows;
• reverse-engineer, disrupt, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems;
• misuse the AI tutor — for example to generate unlawful, harmful or abusive content;
• use automated means to access the Service in a way that harms it or other users.

5. Subscriptions and payments

Some features may be offered as paid subscriptions in future. When they are:

• Web subscriptions will be processed by our payment provider, Stripe. In-app purchases on iOS and Android will be processed by Apple and Google through their app stores, under their terms.
• Paid plans may renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time — for app-store purchases, through your Apple or Google account; for web subscriptions, as described at checkout or by contacting us.
• Prices, plans and any free tier will be shown before you buy. We may change prices for future billing periods with reasonable notice.
• Refunds are handled in line with the relevant store's or payment provider's policy and your statutory rights under applicable consumer law.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, including its lessons, text, design, software, the "Gora" name and the fox character, is owned by Flare Digital DOO or its licensors and is protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own language learning. You may not use our branding or content for other purposes without our written permission.

7. The AI tutor

Gora includes an AI-powered tutor ("the fox"). Its responses are generated automatically and may sometimes be inaccurate or incomplete. It's a learning aid, not a substitute for professional language certification or advice. Please don't share sensitive personal information with it, and use your judgement when relying on its answers.

8. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties (such as hosting, analytics, email and, in future, payment providers). Their handling of your data is covered in our Privacy Policy. App-store purchases are also subject to Apple's or Google's terms.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't warrant that using Gora will achieve any particular learning outcome.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we won't be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law (such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud). Where liability cannot be excluded but can be limited, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us (if any) in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Termination

You can stop using Gora at any time and delete your account from within the app (Settings → Account & sync → Delete account). We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these Terms or use the Service unlawfully. On termination, the licence in section 6 ends.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When changes are material, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Montenegro, and the courts of Montenegro have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
